One building on the Yale campus includes several bricks like this one scattered throughout its façade—most of them right side up. Can you tell us what building, and what the bricks are said to represent? We’ll update this post with the answer tomorrow. UPDATE: The bricks are found on the walls of the Hall of Graduate Studies—a visual tribute to James Rowland Angell, who was president of Yale when HGS was built. (Why this one is upside down is anyone's guess.) There are also bricks with stamped with a "W" and a Greek cross, representing then-Grad School dean Wilbur Cross. ___________________________________________ The Yale Alumni Magazine is published by Yale Alumni Publications Inc., an alumni-based nonprofit that is not run by Yale University.
